PDF pattern of the BRA version of the Artemis Bralette.

About the pattern
The bralette is worked starting from the right back strap (as worn) and then it’s continued by working rows of hdc-blo that give the ribbing effect. The first half and the second half of the bralette are mirrorlike: every time you increase in the first half you will decrease in the second half and vice versa. In the end, you should have one piece and the only things that need to be sewn are the shoulder straps and the sides of the back straps.

Materials:
• Type 2 or type 3 yarn.
I used about 50 gr of YarnArt Jeans 55% cotton 45% acrylic.
(My chest circumference: 90 cm).
• 3.5 mm hook
• Stitch markers
• Elastic (optional)

Gauge: 22 hdc x 12 rows = 10 cm / 4 inches (hdc worked in the back loop)
The gauge is just an indication since it’s a made-to-measure pattern: you can use whatever
kind of yarn and hook you prefer. I would still suggest not going beyond a type 3 yarn.

Abbreviations:
• Hdc-blo → half double crochet in the back loop only
• Sc → single crochet
• Ch → chain
• Sl → slip stitch
• Hdc-blo 2 tog → half double crochet in the back loop two together

Disclaimer for plus sizes:
I am a new pattern designer and, although I am trying to make all my pattern as much size inclusive as possible, it’s not always easy. My testers were amazing, and they gave me a lot of suggestions on how to improve this aspect of my patterns.
The bra version of the Artemis Bralette is the hardest one since it’s not adjustable once everything is sewn together and could be a bit tricky especially for beginner crocheters to get the perfect measurements for a perfect fit.
One of my testers with a larger chest ended up using this bralette as a top rather than a bra. Others added an elastic at the bottom to give more support.
The bow version gives a bit more freedom since it’s adjustable and can be tightened to give more support. Overall, my plus-size testers preferred this version over the bra version.
