Artpop Sweater is a rainbow homage to all the artists I admire.
Among whom fashion designer Molly Goddard: her use of fluffy tulle and colourwork knits in the same silhouette have left me speechless, and I wanted to try my hand at a sweater design inspired by her runway looks.
Indie dyer Dan Lee, the talented artist behind Bona Yarns, who creates breath-taking colourways.
And my music heroine Lady Gaga, who whispered to me that “sometimes the simplest move is right” when I was struggling to find the right way to express my creativity through knitting.
Artpop is worked in the round from the bottom up. The body of the sweater is worked with a strand of merino fingering and a strand of mohair lace held together for a fluffy feel, while the colourwork sleeves are worked with 2 colours of merino fingering.
Artpop is the perfect sweater to use wild variegated colourways paired with a neutral.

Artpop est un hommage haut en couleurs à tous les artistes que j’admire.
Parmi eux, la créatrice de mode Molly Goddard : sa façon d’associer le tulle aérien et volumineux à des pièces en maille jacquard me fait rêver : j’ai depuis longtemps envie de créer un modèle inspiré de ces siGouettes.
Le teinturier indépendant Dan Lee, l’artiste de talent derrière Bona Yarns, créateur de coloris à couper le souffle.
Et mon héroïne, Lady Gaga, qui m’a convaincue d’un murmure que “sometimes the simplest move is right”, parfois le chemin le plus simple est le meilleur, alors que je cherchais ma voie pour exprimer ma créativité dans le tricot.
Artpop se tricote en rond, du bas vers le haut. Le corps du pull se tricote en tenant 2 fils en même temps, le mérinos fingering et le mohair dentelle. Les manches, quant à elles, sont en jacquard tricoté avec 2 couleurs de mérinos fingering.
