As written, this pattern uses both Crochet and Knitting. It is suitable for an advanced beginner to both crafts.

Less than half a skein of each color was used, I did not track amounts. Any worsted/aran weight yarn is suitable. Adjust hook and needle size as needed to obtain gauge.
