Like many great things, Wingin’ It Kiddo Cowl was born out of necessity. My daughter got cold at recess. She asked for a new “scarf” (not knowing the word for cowl) that would stay up against her face and keep her warm. This was the result!

The cowl is worked flat and the ends are sewn together to create a tube shape which is pulled over the head to wear. Simple garter stitch and bulky yarn means it works up quickly and is a suitable project for beginning knitters.
