Aslan, The Lion King is the ruler of the jungle. Don’t go by his innocent looks, Aslan is the naughtiest of lions in the entire animal kingdom. He has many tricks hidden in his always creative mind.

He can be cute and cuddly. But when the time comes for bravery, he can win any battles just with his strength and ferocious intensity.

He is a charmer and can win the hearts of any lioness in the jungle just being his charming self. He is a rare combination of light and dark within him. Handle him with care!!!

He wears his crown proudly. He also wears the coolest of shades and wears his heart as his eyes tattoo.

The inspiration for this baby amigurumi came to life from 2 places. My daughter(Shaman) has a tent on which a cartoon lion is printed which is almost similar to this lion. I made a couple of changes to that animated picture and made this cool toy.

The 2nd inspiration is the movie, “The Chronicles of Narnia”. One of my most favorite character in the movie is Aslan, the lion that talks. In the movie, he is described as the King of Beasts, the son of the Emperor-Over-the-Sea and the King above all High Kings in Narnia. I love this character the most in the movie.

In the Turkish language, the word Aslan means “Lion”. So I thought it is a fitting name for my amigurumi.

The pattern is simple to follow. Only the tail and some parts of the ears are made using a smaller hook. However, the stitches remains basic.
