An effortlessly chic modern take on lace for autumn and beyond, on-trend in super bulky yarn. Swishy fringe creates a fun-loving boho vibe.

A smooth super bulky yarn and a bulky yarn with a silky eyelash texture are held together to crochet the filet mesh scarf base in double crochet and chain stiches, creating lusciously soft and wearable lace.

The fringe is made from smooth, swishy mercerized cotton to create an interesting combination of textures.

Skill Level: Easy

Size: 9” wide, 69” long (23 by 175 cm) before fringe
9” wide, 81” long (23 by 206 cm) including fringe

You can make a wider scarf by adding multiples of 3 stitches to the starting chain. You can make a narrower scarf by subtracting 3 or 6 stitches from the starting chain.

The sample uses 3 yarns:

1 ball of Lion Brand Heartland Thick & Quick super bulky 100% acrylic yarn (125 yds/114 m, 142 grams per ball) in Acadia
or about 125 yds / 114 m of any super bulky yarn

1 ball of Red Heart Hygge bulky 70% acrylic/30% nylon yarn (132 yds / 121 m, 141 grams per ball) in Pearl
or about 132 yds / 121 m of any bulky yarn.
The Hygge yarn has an eyelash effect, so this is a good place to use novelty or eyelash yarns.

2 balls of Ice Yarns Camilla Cotton sport/fine weight mercerized 100% cotton yarn (136 yds/125 m, 50 grams per ball) in Off White for the fringe
or about 272 yds / 250 m of any sport or light weight yarn for the fringe.
