CONSTRUCTION
The cardigan is worked top down, beginning with the back. The shoulders are shaped with short rows, and the stitch pattern is worked to the underarms. Stitches are then picked up from the back shoulders to begin the fronts. Shape the V-neck and armholes while working to the underarms. Once both fronts are complete, join them to the back at the underarms and work the body. After the body is finished, pick up stitches around the armholes and work the sleeves in the round. Finally, pick up stitches along the front edges to work the edging, then knit the ribbon separately and attach it.
