This pattern is designed as a complete “master pattern,” allowing you to knit this beanie with any yarn weight, from fingering to super bulky.
Instructions Hub:
You simply knit your gauge swatch in Stockinettethis (This beanie is worked in Garter stitch. The pattern instructions, stitch counts, and measurements have been mathematically adjusted to create the correct size based on your Stockinette gauge swatch).

Find your stitch gauge (from 12 to 26 sts per 4” / 10 cm) in the table, and the pattern tells you exactly which set of instructions to follow. It’s the perfect way to use up those beautiful unlabeled skeins or that special single skein of yarn.

Description: This beanie is worked flat, side-to-side, starting with a cast-on of the full height of the hat. It is worked entirely in a garter stitch pattern. The hat’s conical shape is created by knitting 8 identical wedges. Each wedge is formed using short rows (Wrap & Turns) to shape the pointy top of the crown. A slipped stitch at the beginning of every Right Side row creates a neat, finished edge for the brim (opening).
