A cuff-down stranded sock inspired by vintage Australian machine knitting patterns. 2 Sizes available, Small (72st leg) and Large (80st leg).

What you will need:
4 solid colours of fingering/4ply weight yarn. Quantities are for size Large and are overestimated to err on the side of caution however more may be needed for longer foot and leg lengths.
Colour A (shown on charts as black) - 230-250yds
Colour B (shown on charts as red/circles) - 90-100yds
Colour C (shown on charts as yellow/diamonds) - 70-80yds
Colour D (shown on charts as pale grey) - 100-120yds
2.25mm needles (DPN, Circular or Magic Loop) or appropriate size to get a gauge of approx 9 stitches and 11 rows per inch.
Stitch markers as needed.
Wool needle for grafting the toes.
You may also like to use a 2-3mm (approx) crochet hook for picking up stitches along edges of heel flap.
