Audrey Sweater

The Audrey Sweater is an oversized raglan sweater with 2x2 rib detailing running from the collar to the hem. It has a wide neckline and a relaxed feel. The yoke can either be worked flat and finished with buttons or worked in the round. Either way, after completing the yoke you will join to work the length of the body and then the sleeves in the round. The cuffs and hem are finished with 2x2 rib.
This pattern has been tech edited and test knitted, but if you have any questions please either contact me by email or use the contact form on my website.
Materials and Fit
Notions: You will need 4.5 mm / US 7 circular needles with 40-, 60-, and 80-cm / 16-, 24-, and 32-in cords; 3.5 mm / US 4 circular needles with 40- and 80-cm / 16- and 32-in cords. If you’re making one of the larger sizes, you may also find it helpful to have both needles with a 100-cm 40-in cord.
You will also need at least 8 ring stitch markers (one of which should be a different colour to indicate the beginning of round), a 4.5 mm / US 7 double-pointed knitting needle, your preferred stitch holder (i.e., scrap yarn, a set of spare needles, or a cord), a darning needle, and you may find some clip-on markers helpful to track your work. If making the buttoned version of the Audrey Sweater, you will need 4 (5) 5 (5), 5 (5) 5 (5), 5 (5) 6 (6) x 20 mm buttons.
Tension: 18 stitches x 27 rows/rounds in Stockinette Stitch on 4.5 mm / US 7 needles = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 in; 25 stitches x 27 rows/rounds in 2 x 2 rib stitch (measured when the fabric is relaxed) on 4.5 mm / US 7 needles = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 in.
Sizing and ease: The Audrey Sweater has a recommended positive ease of 20.5-28 cm / 8–11 in for Sizes A-H, and 13.5-25.5 cm / 5.25-10 in for Sizes I-L. However, if you wanted less ease, you would be welcome to choose a smaller size relative to your chest measurement and vice versa.
Please note that the Audrey Sweater does have quite a lot of positive ease for a raglan pattern. You may wish to size down from your regular size if you want less ease, particularly if your full chest measurement is more than 10 cm / 4 in compared to your upper chest measurement (i.e., directly under your armpits).

Yarn: I estimate that you will need approximately 840 (920) 980 (1000), 1030 (1100) 1160 (1210), 1330 (1370) 1450 (1490) m 920 (1010) 1080 (1100), 1130 (1210) 1270 (1330), 1460 (1500) 1590 (1630) yds of either a sport- and a lace-weight yarn held together if working with 2 strands of yarn held together, or of a worsted-weight yarn if working with a single strand.
For my red sample without buttons, I used Zakami Organic Merino DK (100% merino wool; 100 g = 225 m / 246 yds in the shade Momiji.
For my navy blue sample with buttons, I used Kampes 2-trådigt ullgarn (100% wool; 100 g = 300 m / 328 yds) in the shade 224 held with Isager Alpaca 1 (100% alpaca; 50 g = 400 m / 437.5 yds) in the shade Midnight.
For my grey sample with buttons, I used Gullet Farm Romney x Hebridean (100% wool; 100 g = 200 m / 219 yds).
