This is the pullover version of the Autumn Child onesie. It is worked top-down and seamlessly in the round, with colourwork at the raglan yoke and before the rib of the sleeves and body.

The raglan pullover is worked up quickly in worsted to aran weight yarn, although the sample is made with the beautiful worsted weight-leaning Rauwerk DK yarn. You can also use sport-weight yarns such as Rauma Finull held double to make aran weight.

I hope you will enjoy this pattern, and if you need any help, please do not hesitate to contact me in my Ravelry group ‘Skeindeer Knits’. It’s the best place for swift support.

Yarn
Rauwerk DK (100% Bavarian merino wool, 220 m / 241 yds, 100 g).

You will get the best result with Aran-weight non-superwash woollen spun sheep wool yarn such as: Hillesvåg Varde or Vidde, Sandnes Peer Gynt, De Rerum Natura Gilliatt etc. Or holding Rauma Finullgarn, Navia Duo or Hillesvåg Ask double.

Yarn amounts
Main colour: (130, 210, 300) (360, 430, 540) m / (150, 230, 320) (390, 470, 590) yds
Contrast colour 1: (90, 110, 130) (140, 160, 200) m / (100, 120, 140) (160, 180, 220) yds
Contrast colour 2: 10-15 m/yds

Needles
Gauge-size needles for raglan, body and sleeves, 1 mm below-gauge circular needles for ribbed neckline, hem and cuffs.
The sample was made using 5.5 mm (US 9) for stockinette, 5 mm (US 8) for rib, and 6 mm (US 10) to get gauge in colourwork.

Gauge
16 sts x 26 (22) rnds = 10 cm / 4” in stockinette stitch (stranded colourwork).

Sizes
(0-1/4, 1/2-1, 2-3) (4-6, 7-9, 10-12) years
The sizes are made to fit up to the given years of age. However, the best way to choose a size is based on chest measurement, plus 5 cm / 2” of positive ease.

Notions
4 stitch markers
Darning needle
Scrap yarn

Construction
This simple raglan colourwork pullover is worked seamlessly in the round, top-down. The neckline of the smallest 2 sizes is worked flat to more easily get the sweater over the head.

The sleeves and the body can either be worked in all stockinette, a simple lice pattern chart, or you can repeat the yoke chart all the way to the rib of the sleeves and the body.

The pattern is made for aran or heavy worsted weight yarn, but the sample was made in Rauwerk DK, which I would argue is thick enough to be worked as worsted weight.
