I love wearing scarves but sometimes they feel bulky around my neck.

This design adapted from Donna Druchanas addresses
this problem and is great for both men and women. In fact, my husband has already claimed this scarf as his!

Autumn in Montana Scarf, written for DK weight yarn, is a fun and interesting knit that uses two colors and three different textured stitch patterns.

Garter stitch separates the different stitch patterns and the neck portion is knitted using a 2 x 2 rib which makes it easy to wrap around the neck.

Gauge is important if using two skeins of Linden DK. The scarf uses almost all of each skein.

Finished Measurements: One Size - 57”/144.78 cm long and 7.25”/18.41 cm wide except for neck ribbing which is narrower due to the nature of ribbing.

Yarn: October House Fiber Arts Linden DK, 50% SW Merino and 50% silk, Colors: Color A = Picholine, 1 skein (230 yds/210 m) and Color B = Ginger, 1 skein (230 yds/210 m)

Needles: US size 6 (4.25 mm)

Gauge: 18 stitches and 33 rows = 4”/10 cm in seed stitch pattern after blocking

Other Supplies: Crochet hook, size 7 (4.25 mm) Stitch markers if needed to indicate pattern repeats and yarn needle for weaving in ends.
