Parents will tell you that once a baby is mobile they don’t sit still for long--they’re constantly crawling, walking, and running. That’s how Baby Ben, my newest nephew, will certainly be. As a designer, it seems only fair to keep the front of the design fairly simple and put the fancy cables and ribs on the back where you’re likely to see them! Baby Ben is knit in the round from the bottom up to sleeve separation, then knit flat. Sleeves are knit in the round from picked up stitches after the shoulders are seamed together. Expect a quick, easy knit for babies and toddlers…you’ll need those extra minutes to chase your little one!
