I made this machine knitting pattern because I wanted to make some baby booties for my niece that she couldn’t kick off. These are secured at the back with a repurposed elastic hair band.

The different sizes are achieved purely by felting the finished items more or less until they are the right size. To add structure, a contrasting trim can be added either as a wool yarn that will be felted, or a fuzzy faux-fur type yarn. If left with no trim these look more like slipper socks than boots.

You will need to understand how to do short rows on a knitting machine in order to complete this project.
