These cute baby shoes are knit in small pieces, partially flat and partially in the round. The pattern does not require very advanced techniques. Although the shoes themselves are entirely knit, the shoelace is made with a simple crochet chain. If you do not like to crochet, you could replace it with a piece of ribbon or a storebought shoelace.

The pattern requires crochet cotton of approximately 160 meter (175 yard) per 50 grams, in 4 different colours. In that case you will need 13 (15) 20 (25) grams of the main colour, 3-4 grams of both white and the sole colour and 1 gram black yarn.
Alternatively for 125 meter (136)/50 gram yarns, you will need 17 (19) 25 (31) grams of the main colour, depending on the size for , and 3-5 grams of both white and the sole colour and 1 gram of black yarn for all sizes, so this pattern may give some use to tiny bits of leftover yarn.

The pattern was written for knitting on 2.5 mm (US 1.5) needles, or any needle you need to achieve a gauge of 26 st/37 rows per 10 cm, and you will need a set to knit in the round and one additional needle or yarn holder.
For the shoelace you will need a crochet hook, I used a 2.5 mm one, but size does not matter too much there, since this gauge will only affect the shoe lace size.
