This pattern is a recipe to knit vanilla socks for people with a slightly higher instep. It contains both toe up and cuff down instructions, and has a charted version for both a male and female average foot size. In the pattern a short description is given for how to adjust for your foot length, as well as for a bigger or smaller high instep. The extra space is achieved by combining a heel flap and gusset method with a short row heel.

In order to knit this pattern you need any sockyarn, at least 260 meters for a female size sock, 300 meters or more for a male pair of socks. This pattern is written for 2mm (US 0) circular needles of 60 cm (24 inch) using magic loop, but gives some advise about using double pointed needles or short circulars as well.
