While watching the premiere of Backstrom, I was psyched to see him wearing a knit scarf! Of course, that meant I needed to make one myself!

The pattern itself is simple, just seed stitch. I have included shaping so it would function properly as a tie.

Backstrom’s tie is unique in that it has square ends, rather than triangular. I promise, I wasn’t cutting corners (or points!), I simply wanted to stay as true to the original as I could!

Please note - This pattern is free and will remain free. I will not profit from it. I did not design the worn in the show. I do not feel it would be right to profit from something I am simply transcribing. Feel free to make as many ties as you would like to for gifts. Please do not sell or reproduce this pattern for sale.

Materials
150-200 yds of dk or sport weight yarn
*I highly recommend choosing a yarn that retains it’s shape well. Avoid alpaca or cotton, as they are quite prone to stretching.*
