I wanted to make a Batz Maru that didn’t require sewing on separate pieces for the white sections, so made this pattern that does the eyes and belly with color changes.

You can make this pattern with any size yarn and the appropriately sized hook. The larger one in the picture is done with Bernat Blanket Yarn and a 10mm hook. The smaller one is done with DK yarn and a 2.5mm hook.

You will need white and black yarn and a small amount of yellow, stuffing, safety eyes (or thread to embroider eyes).

The skills needed are basic amigurumi making skills: magic ring, single crochet, increase, decrease, plus a basic color change.
