A basic 4 panel sweater is my go to mindless project. I’ve made them with different fits and using all kinds of yarns and needle sizes, all with the same basic construction.

These are simple enough to not really need a pattern, but you do have to keep track of some info as you go. So I made up a worksheet to make it easy to note everything down.

These are suitable for beginners. The only skills needed are: gauge swatching, cast on, stockinette, ribbing, cast off, and basic sewing skills.
