The Bålgård Cardigan is a #sizeinclusive cardigan inspired by the deep forests of Värmland in western Sweden, where my grandmother lived her whole life.

The pattern is available both in Swedish and English.
The cardigan is knitted top-down. After the top cuff has been knitted, steek stitches are added for the cardigan to be knitted in the round. There is a choice between knitting a straight or shaped body.
The sleeves are designed to end a couple of centimetres above the wrist so that your wristbands and watch still will be visible. You can lengthen both arms and body to your own choice, just note that you will need more yarn than described above.
Before steeking, button bands are added.
One of the most wonderful moments for me as a designer is when I see your creation made from my patterns. It would be wonderful if you want to share your pictures on social media and tag them #yarnesty and #BålgårdCardigan. It will make it easier for us to find each other’s pictures and get inspired!
