Part five of the Yarnesty Cowl.lection Pattern Club takes you to the home to my maternal grandparents: Bålgård in the County of Värmland, close to the Norwegian border.
Bålgård is very rural, it is really only some houses along a bridle road. Maybe not much to see for a tourist. Close to Bålgård, however, is the cute town of Arvika. The middle of the town is well preserved and there are many cute wooden houses. When you don’t want to stroll anymore, there is a great patisserie by the town square where you can have tea and cake. My favourite place to take a lake-swim is Ingestrand, just a couple of kilometres south of the town. A place one can’t miss when in Arvika is the amazing linen-weaving mill, Klässbol. If you prefer yarn, my collaboration partner Moods of Colors has her yarn dying studio only half an hour west of Arvika, closer to the border, that is well worth a visit.

Sizes
One size
The cowl is designed to fit very loosely around the neck.
Cowl circumference: 65 cm / 26”

Cowl depth: 34 cm / 13.5 ”

Gauge
24 sts and 28 rnds = 10x10 cm / 4x4” in stocking stitch, colourwork and corrugated rib after blocking
I recommend to knit a swatch to make sure your gauge is correct. Otherwise, your cowl may have different measurements and can use up more yarn than defined in this pattern.
