This is a “one ball pattern” tribute to Berroco’s 100% silk Mantra yarn.

You will need:
1 ball Berroco Mantra, 4450 Fiesta
16” circular knitting needles, size 4 (3.5mm) or size to obtain gauge

The bandana style cowl is close to the neck and can be made with or without the lace heart pattern.

Beginning knitters may choose the easy, no-lace version, where the Moss stitch pattern develops in the bandana tip by simply working an increase at the beginning of each row.

Intermediate knitters may insert the delicate lace heart pattern by Barbara G. Walker, used with permission by the Schoolhouse Press, modified to fit the bandana cowl.

Instructions for the cowl are written. A chart is provided for the lace heart.

This pattern was first published during the Spring/Summer 2019 “Virtual Yarn Tasting” event on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/groups/BerrocoVirtualYarnTasting/)
