This plushie was designed in honor of three year-old Bao Bao the Panda in the National Zoo in Washington, DC. She left her hometown in D.C. on February 21, 2017 to go to her new home in China to be part of the project to protect and increase the population of the pandas in their indigenous home of China.

Softee toy can be used as a home decor or office desktop decor. Gift to anyone who loves pandas or make one for yourself.

If gifting to a child, eyes are crocheted and sewed on. But, sometimes the eyes can still be pulled off, therefore this toy is recommended for an older child 8 years and above to avoid choking hazards.

You will work the head in the rounds to form a dimensional ball. All other pieces are also worked in the round but will be flat.

Getting an exact gauge is not necessary for this project.

You will need the following supplies:
1 skein each of Caron Simply Soft Worsted Weight (4) Yarn in the colors of white and black, US size G/4.00m hook, yarn needle, stuffing, scissors.
