Barefoot sandals are such a cute and simple way to dress up baby’s feet in the summer months or to wear to a precious photo session. My version of barefoot sandals has no buttons or tie strings to mess with or worry about, and no toe loops or tight straps. They are comfortable so baby will actually keep the on! These sandals just slip right on and they will stay on.

These barefoot sandals are fairly easy to make and work up pretty quickly. My crochet patterns are written for beginners. They are detailed, including stitch counts at the end of each row and color pictures every step of the way .

Pattern includes variations for three different sizes: small, medium and large.
Small fits newborn - 3 months
Medium fits 6-18 months
Large fits 18 months - 48 months
Since the sandal size is based on ankle circumference, not foot length, the medium and large sizes will fit a wide range of ages because toddlers tend to grow longer without gaining much weight.

Before you begin, you will need:
Crochet hook H8/5mm
Yarn Needle
Scissors
Worsted weight yarn

And you’ll need to know how to:
Single crochet
Double crochet
Half double crochet
Chain
Slip Stitch

Once you’ve mastered these basic crochet stitches, my pattern will show you how to make the sandal, how to make the flower, and how to assemble it all together.
