This beanie is a basic, short/capped beanie – it should fit the head snuggly (but comfortably).

This beanie pattern is designed to practice: Reading patterns, using circular needles, doing ribbed designs, and single right decreases (k2tog). It’s assumed you already know how to cast on, knit, purl, weave in, and how to do a stockinette stitch for the gauge swatch.

There are two ways to finish this beanie:
A. A basic cinch (puling the thread through to close – no extra needles required)
B. A more advanced finishing technique use of double points needles (DPN’s)

This pattern offers two sizes: Adult small/medium, and adult medium/large.

It is up to you: Choose your finishing method A or B and choose your size S/M or M/L.

Instructions on how to read patterns, count rows, how to start knitting with circular needles, with images at end of pattern to assist.
