This basket is perfect for small desk items, such as pens and post-its, knitting supplies such as stitch markers and row counters, or cosmetics such as chapstick and a pocket mirror. It is a life saver for me because my desk is always a mess and I can never find any small items, but now I can store them in my basket!

The baskets fold up easily and can be stored in small spaces when not in use.

I used Lion Brand Thick and Quick Wool-Ease. It’s a chunky yarn that works up quickly, and even though it’s retained it’s wooly softness, it still is easily tossed in the washer machine. I also added Hometown USA Solids and Neons, and Tweeds, and Wool-Ease Thick & Quick Tweeds to the yarns list, because they are all quite similar and the same size and yarn company.

You can use 9 or 10 mm knitting needles for the basket. It kind of depends on how quickly you want it to work up, and the desired size. It will go a lot more quickly with 10 mm needles, though it will be a little looser and slightly larger than a 9mm basket.

Note about the photos: Dark yarns are hard to photograph, so these photos aren’t the best. I apologize for how hard to see these projects are. I’m doing my best to take nice photos, I promise!
