A detailed PDF pattern with instructions to crochet your own basic staple bucket hat! It can be made with any worsted/aran weight yarn of your choice. I recommend an acrylic or plant fiber for a summery hat, and an animal fiber or similar for a wintery hat.

Pattern details:

Yarn: any worsted/aran (4) weight yarn (about 2.5 oz/80g/200yd)

Hook: anything between 4-6mm (G-J)

Gauge: not important, use whatever hook size best fits your tension or to achieve whatever fabric texture you want

Sizing: one size but adjustable within a range, you can also size up or down your yarn to change the sizing (it is pretty drastic, but for example you can use a sport weight and follow the pattern exactly to get a 9-12 month old baby size hat)
