the petal bralette is an adorable crochet bralette top. it is made to measure, meaning you can adjust it to any size with any yarn, and no math is required, only measuring the pieces to your body!!

this pattern is made with two shaped cups that are oriented sideways and then a bottom band with a peekaboo hole is worked on the bottom edge of the two cups. then, a scalloped edge is worked with another peekaboo hole on the top edge. finally there are long straps attached to the top corners. the straps cross in the back and lace up, similar to a corset.

the pattern includes a gallery of photos of the process of making the bralette, as well as a tester gallery.

yarn estimations:
for a bust circumference less than 30 inches/75 cm, ~50g of worsted weight cotton
for a bust 30-40 inches/75-100 cm, anywhere between 75-100g
for a bust 40-50 inches/100-130 cm, anywhere between 100-150g
for a bust over 50 inches/130 cm, 150g or more, depending on your exact bust measurement

hook size:
for a standard worsted weight cotton, i recommend a 4mm hook/size G, to prevent gapping. if you find your tension is looser, use a 4mm. if you find your tension is tighter, size up to a 4.5-5mm. if you’re not using a worsted weight, i suggest trying out a few different hook sizes to see what will work best for your yarn.
