These mittens are worked in the round with a bulky yarn for a quick knit.

The construction is especially suited for self striping yarns -- the peasant thumb and shaping details will cause the least distortion possible in the color sequence.

Use to practice your first cables, or make a wonderful gift.

The pattern calls for 2 balls of Louet Bonnie (88 yards per ball). This will leave you with about half a ball extra, but sufficient yardage to match the color sequence on each mitten.

Second Photo

The second photo shows the pattern worked with Kraemer Mauch Chunky in colorway Y1023. One skein (120 yards / 100 grams) is sufficient for one pair of mittens.

If using another Chunky yarn, approximately 120 yards would be sufficient.
