Oskie The Boston Terrier is an adorable stuffed toy.

The knitting pattern suggests a worsted weight washable yarn, such as Plymouth Encore. Red Heart, Wool Ease, or even Aussie Wool or Cascade are good choices (should you not mind hand washing the latter two).

You will knit down several needle sizes so the resulting fabric is tight so the stuffing doesn’t show through.

If using worsted weight yarn on a US #3 needle, your toy should measure approximately 10” from nose to tail, 9” foot to top of head, and 4” wide when stuffed.

Requires:

  • Approximately 200 yards Worsted Weight Black (1 ball Encore)
  • Approximately 60 yards Worsted Weight White
  • 100 grams Poly-Fil
  • 2 toy eyes (12mm shown)
  • 1 black pom-pom for nose

Pattern Notes:

This pattern requires experience with knitting, decreasing, increasing, and short row turning. For the benefit of those with little toy experience, this pattern is written row by row with every row listed -- that way you can cross off each row as you go.
