A basic beanie style hat great for anyone to wear in the wind, rain, cold or snow. The construction is not simple so some hat knitting experience would be great before trying this one.

This pattern is written for worsted weight yarn in child size and adult size. Circular needles can be used for the cast on through to the shaping, then you switch to DPNs for the decreases in the crown of the hat. This can be knit from start to finish on DPNs, if preferred.
