Make basic slouch hats in all sizes with this knitting pattern.

This is a beginner to intermediate knitting skill level pattern that requires a general understanding of knitting in the round, knit stitches, purl stitches, switching needle sizes, and decreases.

These hats are worked in the round from the bottom up.

This pattern can be knit in the round in three different ways. Instructions are included for double point needles, the magic loop, and shorter circular needles. Pick your favorite method to knit in the round, then follow the instructions that match your chosen needles.

A long brim and looser fit create the slouch effect. Slouchy hats are just a bit warmer than beanies, as they are worn with the ribbed brim doubled over. These hats are especially fun to embellish; try adding a big, fuzzy pom-pom at the top.
