The first knitting pattern I ever wrote was for a body shape like this where the legs and the body were all one piece. I love the look of this—nice and clean and simple—and it can be turned into about a million different creatures. For this design, I gave the body a disproportionately large head to play up the cuteness of the face and the tinyness of the body. Because the legs and the body are all knit as one piece, this guy is a quick knit and doesn’t use much yarn. I hope my variations, everything from a monkey to a ninja, serve as a good jumping-off point for you to create your very own uni-body creatures!
