Mosaic knitting is a technique that uses two colors of yarn to create interesting designs, similar to Fair Isle, but you work with only one color of yarn per row. This eliminates the tensioning problems associated with Fair Isle knitting. This scarf pattern includes fundamental instructions for the mosaic knitting technique. Use two solid colors or one solid and one variegated yarn. This scarf is knit lengthwise instead of crosswise, allowing the project to work up faster.
