This basketweave pattern is pretty open ended. Use any weight yarn with appropriate hook size and work it until it’s the size you want. The gauge will vary based on the yarn and hook you choose.

Gauge listed was for fingering weight, USF5/ 3.75mm. Yarn was silk, so even though it was dense it draped.

The texture works up “heavy” making a drape-able scarf. If it’s to heavy for your taste, try using a larger hook or switching to triple crochets.

Pattern is a two row repeat. Written and charted. It’s easily memorized, but needed to write it up in pattern format ‘cause telling people it’s a simple basket weave with a 10 chain loop and increase worked into every other loop just leaves many looking at me with glazed over eyes… until they see it written out. ;)
