This Bavarian crochet head warmer is a real stashbuster! It is an easy pattern for an intermediate crocheter that takes just a couple of hours to complete. It wraps around your head and hugs your face in a very flattering “flapper style.” The cast on edge is smaller to accommodate the crown of the head while the scallops serve to frame the face. The second color is added to give the head warmer a bit of flair.
This project is crocheted with yarn scraps, approximately 50 grams of the primary color and 25 grams of the secondary color. It is pictured in kettle dyed and multi-colored DK (light worsted) weight merino wool yarn.
It is the perfect accessory/accent piece for Fall and Winter.
An additional treble shell (7 stitches) can be added to accommodate a larger head size.
