Bayshore was inspired by the beautiful, special yarn base of the same name from Sea Change Fibers. Sarah and I have collaborated again to bring you a delightful, lightweight crescent shawl pattern. As soon as I felt this cotton/wool blend yarn, I knew I needed it draped around my neck and shoulders. It’s soft, lightweight, drapey, and perfectly suitable for chilly days. Simple alternating panels of garter and stockinette and frequent color changes keep this shawl engaging yet simple, resulting in a super wearable piece. Bayshore will quickly become a wardrobe staple and makes a really great gift knit!

This crescent-shaped shawl is worked from the top down, starting with an elongated i-cord tab cast on, that works seamlessly into i-cord edging worked throughout the pattern to your I-cord bind-off.

For results that look the most similar to the sample, use the suggested yarn or a cotton/wool blend yarn.

This pattern is written for two colors of fingering weight yarn, but will work with sport weight as well, if you’d like a shawl that’s a bit bigger and denser.
