NorCal was designed for the Wine Country Yarn Hop 2022! This shawl was inspired by the rolling hills and changing textures of the landscape to the north of San Francisco, CA. Super customizable in size and intended to work with either one color or two contrasting colors, this DK weight shawl also works well with a variety of fibers — I used both non-superwash merino and 100% baby alpaca for my samples. Two of the participating stores, Fiber Circle Studio in Petaluma, CA and Cast Away Yarn Shop in Santa Rosa, CA provided yarn support for this design.

This DK weight asymmetrical triangular shawl is created starting at the corner and shaped by increasing. Alternating garter stitch and simple textures look great in either one colorway or two (or multiple) contrasting colorways.
