I fully understand that knitting is a hobby to the majority of us and sometimes financial responsibility can hinder our access to paid-for patterns. To attempt to combat this, I am joining the many other designers that are offering the “Pay What You Can” pricing scale. This is done on an honor system and can be utilized by entering any of the codes above for a discount that fits your economic needs.

The Beach Babe Project Bag is an insanely fun, quick knit. (it looks like a huge project, but most testers finished in 3 days) Its braided cables and hexagon design are reminiscent of mermaid tails and fisherman’s netting. The mesh construction allows for the bag to be incredibly stretchy, accommodating a full-length 58in sweater and 2 cakes of 100g worsted weight yarn.

The inside of the bag has 2 surprise elements: 1 your swatch is sewn onto the inside wall of the bag to be used as a pocket (I use mine to carry an extra cable, a tape measure, and some cable stoppers) 2 A cinch panel is knitted into the inside of the bag, separating your yarn from your project. This will prevent your yarn from unraveling and your project from getting tangled together with your yarn.

There are many videos linked in the pattern to help you every step of the way! I have a youtube channel with a playlist dedicated to demonstrating how to perform certain parts of the bag that may be hard to follow.

I hope you all find lots of fun and good use in this bag! (I’m personally making some for Christmas gifts!) I would love to see all of your projects, so feel free to tag me on Instagram @michaelshauun and use the hashtag #beachbabebag

Have fun, Beach Babes!
