I fully understand that knitting is a hobby to the majority of us and sometimes financial responsibility can hinder our access to paid-for patterns. To attempt to combat this, I am joining the many other designers that are offering the “Pay What Works” pricing scale. This is done on an honor system and can be utilized by entering any of the codes above for a discount that fits your economic needs.

The Star Babe is an astrologer’s dream beanie, knit to cozy perfection with The Little Wolf Knits’ Star Babe Kit. The original sample shown is knit using the Narcissa Star Babe Kit. Although the right side of this pattern is reversed stockinette, the majority of it is knit inside-out, allowing for the most of the beanie to be knit in regular stockinette (knit stitches)! Reversed stockinette was chosen for the right side because the vibrant mohair sitting on the dark purl bumps of the DK allow it to create the illusion of a night sky.

The beanie features a simple embroider that showcase’s the wearer’s astrological sign constellation. The sample shown features my personal constellation, Virgo. The constellation is embroidered onto a patch that is sewn onto the front of the hat. This patch also doubles as the gauge swatch for the pattern!

I hope you enjoy this astrological beanie and I can’t wait to see all of your beautiful projects, Star Babes!
