With Christmas creeping upon us and our stash baskets piled high with yarn ends from the years’ projects, it is time to create a new Christmas ornament that is unique, easy and quick to make.

With this in mind I have tried to combine all my favourite things: moss stitch, cables, beads and bright colours. This ornament can be knit in any weight yarn - from fingering to bulky. Cables are knit into each of the three-sided ornament and beads are added as you knit. Of course the size you make is controlled by which weight yarn you use. I have pictured ornaments made of Baby (2) yarn that are 2” long. I have also shown ones knit in DK (3) yarn that are 3” long.
The addition of the beads is for glitz. Instructions are given to achieve this Christmas glow. However, if you do not want to add the beads, the choice is yours.
