Beginner-friendly beanie, balaclava and hood in on.

ABOUT THE PROJECT
From beanie to balaclava in 2 seconds!

Beanie Balaclava Light is super easy, fun, and quick to knit. The pattern is written with the new knitter in mind and includes video guides for all techniques—no complex methods or abbreviations required.

Beanie Balaclava Light is worked bottom-up on size 6 circular needles in 1x1 ribbed knitting (knit 1, purl 1). If you have a 40 cm (16 inches) circular needle, use that. Otherwise, you can knit with the magic loop method.

CHOOSING YARN
I knit my beanie balaclava with 1 strand of Angora from Mondial + 1 strand of Double Sunday from Sandnes, along with a mix of scrap yarn. I used 2–3 strands held together.

NOTE
If you’re sensitive to fluff around your eyes, avoid using mohair near the eye opening.
