Beatrix Sweater is a chunky knitted pullover combining Reverse Stockinette Stitch with graphic sections of 1x1 ribbing for a distinctive textured look.

The sweater is worked flat in four separate pieces — back, front and two sleeves — which are then seamed together. Reverse Stockinette forms the main body of the sweater, while the changing ribbed sections create a decorative transition at the hem, upper body and sleeves.

The front neckline is shaped by binding off the center stitches and working the two shoulders separately. The sweater is finished by seaming the shoulders, setting in the sleeves and sewing the side and underarm seams.

With its chunky gauge, relaxed silhouette and bold stitch pattern, Beatrix is an intermediate project that works up surprisingly quickly on large needles.
