Beausejour. The heavy scent of early morning dew in the air. The prairie sun slowly rising on the horizon as you walk along an endless prairie road, gravel crunching under your feet. The sound of crickets chirping while the wild roses gently flutter beside the bright yellow canola fields.

The colour and pebbled stitch pattern of this garment is reminiscent of the gravel roads that can be found throughout the rural Manitoba, Canada countryside and therefore, were the inspiration for this piece.

This is the fourth pattern in the Manitoba Collection, a series of patterns inspired by various locations throughout the province of Manitoba, Canada.

Size: One size fits all – adults. Easily adjustable to a smaller/larger size.
Yarn: 350yards (183 g) Aran weight yarn—Pictured is Cascade Ecological Wool in beige colour 8016
Needles: US size 9 (5.5mm) straight needles or size needed to obtain gauge
Gauge: 15 sts and 18 rows = 4 x 4 in. square in double seed st pattern.

This versatile garment is long enough to wrap around your neck twice. The ties can be knotted in the front, side, or back. The ties can also be wrapped around the scarf itself to create a large “buckle-knot” appearance.
