This is a simple pattern great for beginning knitters. These legwarmers are knit using an aran weight wool yarn, which means that they not only knit up quickly, but they are quite warm as well.

Size: Small (14 inch calf), Medium (15.25 inch calf), and large (16.5 inch calf)
Yarn: Briggs and Little Heritage in: Natural White (90 yds) Rust (40 yds), and Sheep’s Grey (215 yds) or any aran weight yarn.
Needles: US 8 (5mm) double pointed needles, or size needed to obtain gauge
Gauge: 14 sts and 26 rows = 10 cm (4 inches) in Stockinette St

This pattern involves changing colours while completing the top and bottom 2x2 rib portion. In order to avoid the unsightly colour dots between different coloured rows, a “jogless ribbing stripes” technique is used, which produces a more even transition between colours.

Easily adaptable to smaller larger sizes, and a quick and easy knit!
