Have you joined our Pseudo Mystery Knitalong? this is not a fully mystery KAL, it’s a guided unfolding.
The beautiful damage shawl will reveal itself in clues, each one intentional, each one leaving space where something new can exist.
This shawl was designed in a season of grief and distance. The design explores intentional openness - holes, gaps, negative space.
All looks broken and weak and then somehow it becomes healed and beautiful again- learn to cherish lovely memories, stitching them together slowly.
This Kal invites you to trust the process, to knit without rushing ahead and to let the story reveal itself slowly - just as healing does.
Creating this piece became a way to keep moving, one stitch at a time, when words were difficult to find. This piece is dedicated to what was lost and to what continues!

Materials & Info
3 x 50 g Chaska Puray (kit can be purchased from Cabana D’yarna, providing plenty of yarn if you want to change the size)
Other suggestions: any fluffy yarn in light dk approx 500-600m - solid or soft tonal will work better in my opinion

Needles:
5mm or 5.5mm if your knitting style is very firm
preferably circular to allow for the bigger number of stitches
5mm Hook for the crochet bind off

Gauge:
Not extremely essential but if different, final dimensions and yardage used may vary.
Approx 16st/21 rows = 10 cm/ 4 in

Shape: triangle but will shift slightly to a half pi.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS:
Depth: approx. 75 cm at the widest
Wingspan: 184cm

Skill level - intermediate, lace knitting involved, written instructions and chart will be revealed.

Reveal 1 : The stillness - will be released: 18.01.26

Additional NOTES:
Alternatively you could use a finer (lace weight mohair 450-500m) and 4mm needle, the shawl will be much finer and smaller
