Beautifully simple lace cowl
It is what is says, beautiful yet simple, so beautifully simple then! One of a range of patterns I am developing as first projects for newbie knitters looking to extend their skills.
Deliberately designed to be made from a single ball of wool, this is a close-fitting cowl with a simple, but well-defined pattern. The resulting pattern looks more complicated than it actually is making this a very satisfying knit and a good first lace knit project. Using very easy yarn over and decrease stitches, this cowl knits up in no time and looks gorgeous.
Tension is not critical, but will affect the final size of your cowl.
One ball of double knit yarn is all that is needed to make a cowl measuring 18cm in height with a circumference of 56cm after blocking.
Pattern is easily adaptable to make a wider and/or longer cowl if desired.
Knit in the round using a 4mm circular needle 40cm long.
Pattern includes written instructions and chart.
Cowl is shown knit in Drops Karisma.
