Note to EU customers: due to the change in EU VAT laws, I have elected not to make this pattern available to the EU.

Note about yardage: Woobu is put up in 620 yard skeins - sample shown used approx 310 yds.

This is a crescent-shaped shawl, which sits on the shoulders without fastening, making it the ideal no-fuss accessory. By working additional pattern repeats, the shawl can be enlarged to wrap around the body.

Shawl is knit from the top down, with 12 increases over eight rows on each side creating the curve that allows the shawl to drape over the shoulders without bunching at the neck.

This shawl started as an experiment in texture and lace. It can be scaled up by adding pattern repeats.

Thanks, as always, to Richard Gleason for the photography.

Errata:
The written instructions for rows 18 and 20 of Chart A did not match the chart key.
Row 18 should read: “Row 18 (WS): p9, (p2, (yo, p2tog) x 2, p1, (ssp, yo) x 2, p1), p9.”
Row 20 should read: “Row 20 (WS): p11, (p4, yo, p2tog, p1, ssp, yo, p3), p11.”

The instructions for the border are misleading. They should read:“For each row, work instructions for chart, work 2 pattern repeats in centre panel, work instructions for chart again.”

These corrections were made to the digital version on October 12, 2014.
