Really warm and squishy honeycomb at the bottom to keep your ears warm…a section of bees…and a beehive-inspired “slouch” for the remainder of the hat…and to make it even more fun, you get to choose between eyelet wings or loop wings - mix them up or do all bees with one style!

Sizes: teen/adult small, adult medium and adult large. The finished hat circumferences are 19(20,21) inches or 48(51,53.5) cm. They honeycomb will stretch like ribbing would.

Yarn: 80-100 grams of worsted-weight yarn - a solid color or semi-solid is recommended so that the stitch detail shows up best

Gauge: 1 repeat of the honeycomb pattern equals 1 inch/2.5 cm horizontally

Needles: one circular needle size US 5/3.75 mm or size needed to obtain gauge, either shorter than the desired circumference or long enough for magic loop

Notions: stitch markers, tapestry needle for weaving in ends

Skill Level: advanced beginner/intermediate

Bee kind …a reminder for how to treat one another in these difficult and confusing times, and also for the future, when all this is behind us. …a reminder of how we came through this better by finding compassion and empathy for one another.
