Gauge: The samples created fell within the following ranges: 3-3.5 stitches/ inch and 1.5-1.7 rows per inch.

Yarn: Feel free to use any DK (size 3) yarn! The fiber type selected will affect the drape, gauge, and warmth of your individual finished project. No heavy blocking is required.

Sample A: 5 skeins of Lion Brand Hand-Dyed Heaven in Jawbreaker

Sample B: 2 skeins of Lion Brand Wool-Ease DK Cake in Meadow

Sample C: 4 skeins (1 in each color) of Dark Horse Yarns Desert Flower in White, Yellow, Aqua, and Pink (this yarn is discontinued)

Yardage: 300-900 yards. 300 yards will yield a shawl with approximate dimensions of 45”x17”, 900 yards will yield a shawl with approximate dimensions of 76”x30”. If you desire a larger shawl, more yardage will be required.
